Beccy Griffiths

I am an accredited Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapist, with 10 years experience in Mental Health. I began as a Mental Health Practitioner (MHP) in 2008. The MHP was a specialised mental health role in Hampshire, part nursing and part psychology. I spent 5 years  working in adult mental health services providing home treatment and support to those with severe and complex needs, enabling them to  remain at home as an alternative to hospital admission. I also facilitated numerous psychology groups within the hospital setting to inpatientsand outpatients, with a specific focus on Anxiety Management and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.

I qualified in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy in 2014 practicing within an NHS psychology service to treat a range of anxiety and depressive  disorders. I continue to work there part-time and also run groups for Complex Trauma using a Compassion Focussed Approach. I enjoy  working with people to help them discover where they might be getting stuck and find solutions to their problems. I am also developing an interest in therapy for adults with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC), having worked with several adults with ASC in the last few years (both  diagnosed and undiagnosed).

I am registered as an accredited CBT psychotherapist with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).  I am located in West Hampshire, near to Romsey, Totton and the Wiltshire border.
